Congratulations to Reading Abbey for taking the points and denying Wycs an additional bonus point by scoring with the very last play of the game to stretch the lead by a further 7 points.

It is now time that all the team truly understand the new point scoring system.

This was a game with great play for Wycs followed by not so great decision making across the team.

We understand what areas we need to address, we take measures to do this and we learn from both the good and poor experiences.

Next week, Swanage & Wareham away, a hard place to win as we try to do this twice in a row.

The Wycs First XV won the opening game away to Reading. This was down to the hard work of both the players and the coaches at High Wycombe this summer.

Fantastic to see so many debutants perfom well in what was a very good team performance.

I look forward to seeing everyone at training this week to build on what was a good start.
