This, is in fact, the league decider so all support for your side would be greatly appreciated.

It is with great sadness that we record the death of George Brown who passed away at the beginning of the week having stoically suffered the ravages of cancer over the last two years.

Supported by his strong right arm Terri, Not only playing for the lower sides and the Bodgers in the early years, he was also actively involved over all his 35 years in helping run the Club. Initially, heavily involved in building up and running the Minis and Juniors, he served spells as Club Chairman, Bar Chairman, managed the County Colts for a while and, more recently, became our hard working Fixture Secretary and carols on Boxing days will not be the same without George on the organ.

Our sympathies go to Terri, Nick and the family. He will be sorely missed by us all.

A funeral service will held at Holy Trinity Church, Penn (opposite The Crown pub) at 2.30pm on Thursday 22nd February 2007, the family will then go to the Chilterns Crematorium and all others are welcome for a Wake at the Rugby Club when the family will join us.
