I read in this weeks Free Press that Paul Marsden’s parents are raising funds to install a heart monitor in the Highfield Surgery in Hazlemere following his death in January of last year. Having played with Paul in many a match I would like us to raise some money from High Wycombe Rugby Club and wanted to put this to members to see if we could help this worthy Charity.

Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome causes a person to have a heart attack due to an abnormality in the heart rhythm. Paul and his family were oblivious to his condition and his death was a sudden shock to us all, I propose we put a charity box behind the bar and when you get a hand full of loose change put a bob in the box for Paul’s Charity if you can.

Charity is a personal choice and any contribution would be gratefully received.

The club Halloween party is on Saturday 28th October from 8pm. There will be music and drinks to ward off the evil spirits so get yourself a costume and come along.
