Despite our intensive training & conditioning, rugby is a contact sport and an untimely injury could mean a season cut short and (more importantly?!) time off work.

To make sure you're covered for loss of earnings and medical expenses we would wholeheartedly recommend rugby insurance.

SportsCover Direct (as recommended by the RFU) provides varying levels of cover you can choose from. The Events page has been updated to let you know what is going on throughout the year and also to make sure we have adequate bar staff for all our events and weekends.

You may or may not know that the bar is run by volunteers, this year the responsibility of finding bar staff each week will be shared between each of the playing teams (and old farts) so that the same generous club members are not taken for granted every week.

Please make a note of the following guidelines and check out the Events page:

-Bar duty responsibility is down to each team captain, team captains will need to check the function Rota for Fridays and Saturdays and select members to form a bar team from your teams. Bar teams are to be ready by 6pm to take over from the afternoon bar team to start your session on a Saturday, and functions normally start at 7.30 for 8pm on Fridays.

-Keeping the bar tidy and clearing up at the end of the session are essential.

-The idea of this Rota is to give everyone the opportunity to assist and to spread the work load. It is likely that you will only ever need to serve two or three duties a season if planned properly.

-Please make yourself available, help your team mates & club.
