COLTS V RGS

This is being played at the RGS (changing rooms available and some food after) this Sunday with a ko of 2pm so we will meet at 1.30pm at the very latest there.

They will be strong and fit as they have just finished a 6 match tour of South Africa, so it will be a hard match for us!

Everyone from colts and u17s very welcome as will all support.

To get your crash course in fitness please try to get up for Thursday training 7.30pm so that we can also at least find out a little about the Law changes.

Any questions/problems give me a ring 01494 564008

Cheers Steve

To All Players, Please make the extra effort this week and next to book your places in the squad.

Both Baz and I are determined to create a squad for 1st and 2nds so from your point of view as players you shoud be doing everything to catch our eye.

You're welcome to him, we've been trying to off-load him for several seasons now. Please be advised that, no matter how much effort you make, you will not improve his fitness levels(he is genetically lazy). You may also have to re-visit your bar-stocking levels, that distended stomach of his has a 72 gallon capacity and he prefers to keep it well topped up.
The best of luck with the coming season although, given your latest signing, it would appear that you have little ambition....

Hello High Wycombe Rugby,

I would like to thank you for allowing your old hooker (Robert Dorling) to play for us at Supermarine RUFC.

To be honest we actually think he is too good to hook and we will play him at inside center as he scored three tries for us in a trial match.

The problem is, he is not the fittest player yet so we will work on that.

Rgds,

Ivor

Chile Tour
Been on holiday yet?
Terry Brown has suggested a 'Bottles from round the World' tombola to help raise funds to help defray the cost of the Chile tour. Why not bring a bottle back from holiday towards the tombola. The odder the bottle the better. Non alchoholic piccalilli wine from one of the chip shops in Lancashire would be a good start. The tombola would be held sometime towards the end of the year in time for you to view the selection with Christmas presents in mind.
A box will be placed behind the club bar for bottle donations.

Congratulations to Antonio and Amanda, sure we'll get a chance to 'wet the baby's head' in the coming weeks. Also, congrats to lucky Mr Boyle - two years in Barbados, lucky sod!!!
TRAINING..........
Well, we're well into the run in towards another season. Training sessions put on by Baz and Chad have been well recieved and, in the main, fairly well supported. Interesting to see so many young players down on Tuesdays and Thursdays - bodes well for the coming season. There have been a few noticable absentees though - several established squad players have yet to put in regular appearences. Come on guys, let's support the coaches, ensure we hit the ground running and get our fat butts down there. I don't think there are many guaranteed places in the 1st XV, not with the efforts being made by the youngsters. Let's please make a real effort this week and really get the whole thing moving - we have competitive games organised less than three weeks away!!
I've got a good feeling about the season ahead, but we'll need to put the graft in know to get the most out of it - let's get it sorted.
Have FUN

It was great to see everyone at the beer festival. Thank you Kidders for organising it (and everyone else who put in the hard work).

I have just found out that I have landed a new job. This time it looks like I'll be spending a couple of years in Barbados.

I am leaving at the end of August, so I won't get to the rugby club before I go, but I would like to invite anyone who is around to a barbecue I am having next week (9th August) from 14:00.

Email me at andyboyle@fmail.co.uk for the address.
